Cancer Care

Scott volunteered for the Virginia Cancer Institute at Unity Hospital from 2013-2015 offering healing touch weekly to our cancer survivors. This gift was offered at no charge as Scott volunteered both his time and service.  Evaluations for Scott’s service indicated Healing touch as a valuable offering to our survivors primarily in increasing relaxation and decreasing stress, however other accolades were also noted in evaluations including:  “It was an amazing experience”, “Very relaxing, also felt comfortable during the session and could feel pain pulled out of my feet-amazing.”, “I felt calm and balanced”, “A great experience where I felt healthier and stronger, which was my hope.”, “I’m a hard person to relax, it was good for me and good timing”, “Great service, it really helped me to heal”. Thank you Scott for your gift of time and your skill to help cancer survivors feel better with Healing Touch!
